Lenno - Tremezzina, construction area.
This part of the village overlooks the western shore of Lake Como, the part of Lenno on the border with Ossuccio, in that stretch of coast belonging to the area of Tremezzina which is characterized by some morphological and landscape distinctions: Villa Carlotta, the Isola Comacina, the wooded Dosso di Lavedo, promontory well known as Punta della Villa Balbianello. In front ot the new houses opens Val Perlana , best known for the presence of a Via Crucis (UNESCO property) that connects monasteries and chapels of significant historical and architectural interest, the Abbey of Acquafredda, the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Soccorso and the monastic complex of San Benedetto. The area is known as “Valle del Silenzio” due to the presence of ancient monasteries, places dedicated to meditation (Abbey of Acquafredda or in particular Church of San Benedetto kept in a wild valley away from deafening noises).
